Students who are registered and pay the university health fee have access to clinical services at all SHS clinic locations. The health fee covers most office visits with our providers, including primary care, allergy visits, nutrition consults, substance use counseling, tobacco cessation, and more (excluding lab work or procedures)!
For students in active recovery from alcohol or substance abuse, the CRC provides an opportunity for students to enjoy a social life with additional support in a recovery-first environment. The program includes a donor-funded Recovery Living Community in partnership with University Housing and Dining Services for those who wish to live in sober housing.
We offer a university-sponsored health insurance plan for domestic or international students who want the best coverage at our clinics. Graduate students plans are handled through the Office of Human Resources.
Find information and resources about sexual health, nutrition, sleep, tobacco cessation and infectious diseases on this site, as well as phone numbers to call for more information. Office visits to address any of these concerns are covered by the university health fee.
If you have questions or need assistance meeting the university’s requirements, the immunization office is available to assist at 541-737-7573.
All Oregon State students can receive advice from a nurse by phone 24 hours a day free of charge at 541-737-2724. After hours, a medical call center will respond to calls made to 541-737-9355.
Workshops on a variety of health topics are available to students by request. Throughout the year, we offer many opportunities for students to celebrate health and wellness, such as the Red Zone, Boldly Me Health Week, and the Transgender Resource Fair. The Center for Advocacy, Prevention & Education is available to students 24 hours a day to receive support after experiencing sexual harassment, assault, or interpersonal violence. CAPE advocates provide information to aid in informed decision-making, including information about rights and reporting options, and can help with safety planning, class accommodations, and more. Services are confidential and free.
Oregon Contraceptive Care allows us to provide free reproductive health care and contraceptive services to students, regardless of gender. Those who meet income criteria are eligible for this program.
